आई-वडिलांना विसरू नका

खूप छान गोष्ट आहे. मुलगा आणि वडिलांच्या नात्याची. हल्ली आई-बाप मुलांना जड झाले आहेत. त्यांना वृद्धाश्रमात धाडले जात आहे. यावरच ही कथा आहे. 

एकदा एक वयोवृद्ध बाप आपल्या उच्च शिक्षित मुलासोबत घराच्या छतावरती बसला होता. तेथे एक कावळा आला. मुलाला बापाने विचारले, ते काय आहे? मुलगा म्हणाला कावळा. पुन्हा दुसऱ्यांदा बापाने विचारले, ते काय आहे? मुलाने पुन्हा उत्तर दिले कावळा. 

तिसऱ्यांदाही बापाने विचारले ते काय आहे? मुलाने जरासे दात-ओठ खात म्हटले, कावळा. मग ते दोघे घरात गेले. त्याला पुन्हा बापाने विचारले ते आत्ता आले होते ते काय होते? मुलाचा संयम सुटला होता त्याने ओरडत सांगितले, समजत नाही का? कावळा...... कावळा... कावळा. 

पाचव्यांदा बापाने विचारले ते आपण पाहिले ते काय होते? मुलगा आता मात्र जाम भडकला त्याने त्यांना सांगितले, का टाईमपास करताय? तुम्हाला कितीदा सांगितले तो कावळा होता म्हणून, तरी तुम्हाला समजत नाही का? का जाणून- बुजून त्रास देताय? 

मग त्या वयोवृद्ध बापाने त्या मुलाला घरातील एक डायरी आणायला सांगितली. त्याने ती आणली, त्यात हीच कथा लिहिली होती. 

परंतु, ती थोडी वेगळी होती. त्या बापाच्या जागी एक लहान मुलगा होता. त्याने बापाला एक-दोन नाही तर तब्बल 25 वेळा हाच प्रश्न केला होता, आणि तितक्याच वेळा त्याच्या वडिलांनी त्याच्या प्रश्नाला हसत हसत उत्तर दिले. 

त्यांना त्याच्या विचारण्याचा मुळीच राग येत नव्हता, उलट त्यांना त्या मुलाचा निरागस स्वभाव आणि त्याचे ते विचारणे आवडत होते. तो बाप त्या मुलाचाच होता जो त्याला केवळ पाच वेळा विचारल्यावर त्यांच्यावर खेकसला. 

फरक फक्त हाच, की मुलासाठी बापाने केलेले कष्ट, त्यांनी सहन केलेल्या सर्व वेदना तो विसरला होता. उलट त्याने वडिलांना केवळ दु:खच दिले. लक्षात ठेवा. तुमच्या आई-वडिलांनी तुमच्यासाठी कितीतरी कष्ट केले आहेत आणि तुम्ही त्यांच्यासाठी केवळ दु:खच देत आहात? आई-वडिलांना विसरू नका. त्यांनी केलेल्या कष्टांना विसरू नका.
